Welcome Home to Oakwood Forest Retreat!! Oakwood Forest Retreat is a quaint 'old world' mountain abode nestled snuggly on acres of pristine oak and pine forest. Overlooking the Lal Tibba (Landour) Ridge and Woodstock School on one side, to Wynberg Allen School across the valley, you see forest on all sides. We are a cozy, quiet and secluded stay, far from the 'madding crowd' and the hustle & bustle of Mussoorie town. Instinctively you will feel rested, relaxed and rejuvenated. As you descend off the main Mussoorie-Dhanaulti-Chamba national highway, the road plunges into the forest and descends 1000 feet before the Dhobi Ghat opens up ahead of you and you can glimpse the ridge to the North-West. This is Pari Tibba, a world familiar to Ruskin Bond fans. The flora and fauna is extant. You could stumble upon a Sambhar, Cheetal, Kakar, Wild Boar, Hare, Ant-eaters, Porcupines and the occasional leopard. The hills are alive with birdsong. ​We have tastefully decorated rooms on three discretely curated levels on the estate. These offer contemporary style ambience in a forest setting. For the outdoorsmen there are nature trails, forest bathing sessions and jungle trekking tripes. Or you can just sit wistfully on a deck and watch life go by quietly. UNITS & LEVELS: The property is spread across a vast private estate with 3 different levels. Every level has a private decks/ lawns/ sit-outs with outdoor furniture. - Level 1: It has a 4-Bedroom unit with a private lounge and living area. - Level 2: It has a 3-Bedroom unit with a privet lounge and a living area. - Level 3: This consists of 3-Bedrooms with private balaconies and the Cafeteria. We do not have a living area or a lounge on this Level. BEDROOMS: - There are 10 bedrooms, of which 4 bedrooms can also accommodate an extra bed for an adult or 2 children. - All 10 bedrooms have heaters. - Ensuite bathrooms are offered in all the rooms of which 5 has a seperate shower area with glass partitions. - All bedrooms have a fully upholstered double beds with best-in-class linen. - 4 bedrooms have a provision for an extra bed as roll-away mattress. - We have a large screen Smart TV with all OTT platforms available for viewing in the common living rooms at all levels. BATHROOMS: - There are 10 ensuite bathrooms and one common bathroom. - Geysers, showers, towels and toiletries are provided in all the bathrooms. COMMON AREAS: - The living rooms on Level 1 & Level 2 seats up to 10-12 people each. - We offer a Bluetooth speakers. - Board games, chess and carrom board and a well-stocked library are also available. - There is an open courtyard overlooking the valley and the ridge in the front, a deck in the woods overlooking the famous Lal Tibba in Landour and big lawns just below the unit. - Events can be organised at an additional cost, on prior notice. KITCHEN: - There is a fully functional professional kitchen operational at the retreat. - The kitchen is equipped with a tandoor, refrigerator, a microwave, a gas stove, a professional coffe maker, water purifier and other professional kitchen equipment. - Crockery and cutlery are available for up to 40-50 people. - Highly competent Chefs are available to prepare sumptuous meals of your choice and preferences. We are sorry, but the Guests do not have access to the kitchen. - A complimentary breakfast is offered. - For vegetarian and non vegetarian meals, a complete 3-course lunch is priced at INR 600.00 per person, per meal and dinner is priced at INR 900 per person, per meal. - Snacks, beverages and desserts are served as per the menu. COMMON AMENITIES: - Cafeteria: In addition to the residential area, our guests have access to a spacious and private Multi-Cusine Cafeteria. We offer an eleborate a-la-carte menu, for all your meals, priced at nominal rates. Our chefs are experts in numerous cuisines- ranging from exotic Pahadi and South Indian delicacies to Asian & European dishes. - Private Gatherings: Enjoy live barbecues, lazy brunches or cozy dinners on our outdoor sit-outs and decks fenced by forests and hills. We also have a small bar, a gazebo and an outdoor fire-pit. - Hi Speed Wi-Fi: For those who want to work-from-home or stay connected, we have got you covered with a high-speed Wifi. - Library and Reading Room: Let the scent of old books take you on a journey of self-indulgence and relaxation. - In-Room Amenities: Our rooms offer free WiFi, lockers and in-room tea and coffee making facilities. Our bathroom features walk-in rain showers and hairdryers.
